Information & conditions for Tag Along Vehicles
# Tag along vehicles need to be self sufficient with food, water, fuel, spares, tools, camping and cooking equipment. Upon paying a deposit we will provide you with information that will help with planning your trip.
# Your vehicle needs to be in excellent mechanical order before leaving home. If in a utility with a camper of any description on the back special attention needs to be given to making sure it is adequately secured to the chassis. You must have a UHF radio fitted to your vehicle.
# If convenient arrangements can be made for vehicles to be inspected by Treks Across Australia at our workshop prior to departure.
# Treks Across Australia guide vehicles are equipped with satellite phones, UHF radios, recovery equipment, winches, air compressor, tool kits and first aid kits.
# Any permits or passes to enter prohibited areas are organized by us. Permits for the Canning Stock Route are payable in advance but applied for by us on your behalf.
# Fuel was not delivered to Well 23 in 2008. Uncertain as to the availability of fuel in 2009.
# In case of sickness or accidents: Prior to departure on remote area tours each person travelling will be required to fill in a confidential medical questionnaire. We are only concerned if an emergency arises and we need to give specific details to Royal Flying Doctor personnel or Health Clinic. Your details can be completed and sealed in an envelope, given to us for safe keeping and will only be opened in the case of an emergency. At the conclusion of the tour the envelope will be returned to you.
# Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance is essential and will protect your tour fee against the need to cancel or having to depart the tour early due to sickness or injury. We can not accept payment or give advice or quotes on travel insurance.
# Itinerary Changes: Because of the nature of tours conducted i.e. primarily very remote locations, road and track conditions, adverse weather conditions, breakdowns to either guide vehicles or tag along vehicles, the tour operator has the right to change the itinerary should conditions arise to warrant such a change. In the event of roads or entire regions being closed just prior to departure due to weather conditions we will endeavor to conduct the tour in reverse order if conditions allow or offer an alternative destination.
# Use of our satellite phones: Calls in do not attract a charge. Calls out are approx. $2.20 per minute.
Costs, payment & cancellation policy.
# Cost per vehicle: The cost per vehicle/per day is $120-00 (Inc GST)
# Deposit & Payment: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of your Tag along tour cost will secure your booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to departure.
# Other costs: Such as caravan parks & camping fees, showers, entry fees are at your cost.
# Cancellation & Refund Policy Between 30 – 45 days notice – 30% forfeited Between 14 – 30 days notice – 50% forfeited Less than 14 days notice – No refund given. No refunds will be given after a tour has commenced. |
