BOOKING CONDITIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT: A non refundable deposit of 20% of the full fare will secure your booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellation fees will apply as follows:-
Between 30 – 45 days notice – 30% of tour fare forfeited Between 14 – 30 days notice - 50% of tour fare forfeited Less than 14 days notice – No refund given
YOUR TOUR FEE: Includes travel from commencement point to completion point, camping accommodation, any caravan park fees and showers. With the exception of 1 or 2 evening meals on tours of 23 days duration or longer all meals, drinks and snacks are provided. The fee stated includes the GST. Does not include fares incurred by you to arrive at commencement point, or accommodation costs while waiting for a tour to commence. Optional tour excursions, souvenirs and alcoholic drinks are at your expense. A single person does not incur additional costs on camping tours.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel insurance is essential and will protect your tour fee against the need to cancel or having to depart the tour early due to sickness or injury. We can not accept payment or give advice or quotes on travel insurance.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES OR SICKNESS: Prior to departure you will be required to fill in a confidential medical questionnaire. We are only concerned if an emergency arises and we need to give specific details to the RFDS or Health Clinic. Your details can be completed and sealed in an envelope, and given to us and will only be looked at in the case of an emergency. The envelope will be returned to you at the conclusion of the trip.
NUMBER OF PASSENGERS: Tours operate with a minimum of 8 paying passengers.
ITINERARY CHANGES: Because of the nature of tours conducted i.e. primarily very remote locations, road and track conditions, adverse weather conditions, breakdowns to either guide vehicles or tag along vehicles, the tour operator has the right to change the itinerary should conditions arise to warrant such a change. In the event of roads or entire regions being closed due to weather conditions we will endeavor to conduct the tour in reverse order if conditions allow or offer an alternative destination.
SEAT ROTATION: Passengers rotate each day between the front, aisle and window seats of the vehicle.
SMOKING: Due to Government Regulations smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. Frequent stops provide opportunity for those who wish to smoke.
PASSENGER PARTICIPATION: All camping tours require you to erect and pull down your own tent and roll up your swag. (we will show you how.) Assisting with meal preparation, washing of dishes and camp related chores will be appreciated. Rosters are generally not necessary.
LUGGAGE AND WHAT TO BRING: It is necessary to keep luggage to a minimum. One sports type or army style bag is preferable and much easier to manage. We provide swags and tents for the trip. You will need to supply a sleeping bag or linen and blankets and pillow to put inside the swag. Lightweight – easy to wash and dry – casual clothing is ideal with warmer items needed for evenings when camping. Sturdy walking shoes or boots, hat, sunscreen & fly veil, insect spray, camera & films, drinking flask or bottle, torch & spare batteries. Coins for washing machines and phones.
MEDICAL ITEMS: We carry a comprehensive first aid kit, however small quantities for your own personal use of pain relief, anti histamine, cough & cold mixtures and bandaids would be advisable.
Important: Please ensure you have adequate supplies of any prescription medication that you may be taking.
